Vieux Lyon Avec Heqi et Letchimy

Today, Heqi and I decided to join Letchimy and her family to visit Vieux Lyon(Old Town), which contain well-preserved Renaissance buildings from the 16th Century.

heqi and I were hungry while waiting for letchimy at the bus stop near her house. We reached her house, which was a small appartment. Her host was very friendly and welcomed us into her house. They were going to her host's daughter house for lunch, and we were invited too. Her daughters were very friendly, and gave us bisous, which i was still quite unused to. Haha.

At the shop, we were trying to ask the shop owner if there is any food festival in france. We didn't know how to say that in france, and in the end, i came up with, 'Fete de manger', (festival of eating), which sounded so ridiculous. Haha.

On the way to her daughter's house, we passed by a street market which was only opened during the weekends.

Like most things in france, the stuff sold at street market were also expensive.

Heqi and I had a really hearty lunch at her daughter's house. I remembered i was the gourmand again, and was the last to finish the meals. I wasn't in the photo because i was the photographer, haha. The man was the boyfriend, and they were cohabitating, which is a common practice in France.

Make a guess how old Charlotte is? She's merely 14!

We went Bellcour, where there was a festival, and the people from different francophones(Countries which spoke french) were dressed up in different costumes. I took so many photos because the costumes were simply beautiful.

Cute kids dressed up as well!

Can you see the Macdonald Sign behind? This seemed to be the one and only mac we saw in Lyon. Marie-France, our teacher in INSA, described Macdonald as a catastrophe, and told us that there was once a french man who burnt down Macdonald.

Finally reaching Vieux Lyon

Peanuts, which cost around 3 euros. Sarah bought one packet for the singaporans to try.

Look at how old and different the buildings were

je suis le gourmand de singapour. Haha.

Letchimy's host treated us to ice-cream.

At a theatre entrance, where Sarah performed sometimes. She was a part time actress.

If you didn't realise it, i was the only guy among a group of girls, and they went shopping afterwards. I tagged along, and witnessed how much they liked to shop. Haha. I also noticed that 'The Little Prince' book is so popular that there is even perfume using the book as its brand name.

I reached my bus stop at 1905 and the next bus would come at 1950.

Transportation in Lyon was quite efficient, but after the peak hours and on weekends, the frequency was around 1 bus per hour.

Not wanting to waste my time waiting for the bus, i took the metro to Fourviere and snapped a few photos before coming down. While going back, i happened to meet Michelle(classmate) and Lynn.

I asked michele why sam wasn't wearing any clothes, and she said Sam liked to be naked. Haha.

Dinner michele left for me, because i reached home rather late.
