L'ecole Commence
Michele's husband asked me if i wanted tea, and i was shocked when he passed me a bowl to put the tea bag, haha. Then when i wanted to wash the dishes, he stopped me and pointed to the dish washer.
Went to make our tgv card, which is so expensive! 36.50 euros, and we all had thought that the school will provide it. Once again, we witnessed the inefficiency of French government services while making the tgv card. We were using the machine to print passport size photos, and at 4.45pm, the lady asked heqi to come again tomorrow because they were closing at 5pm.
Today was the first time I saw Sam! Yesterday, I had asked Michele if she had children, and she said that her grandson was looking forward to seeing me. Hee. We played soccer and sam showed me his arc and arrow, which his grandfather made for his father last time. And we played basketball after dinner.
Dinner was not bad, with vegetables soup( soupe de legumes), and the vegetables were fresh from the garden. We had omelettes and potatoes (pommes de terres). I tried a bit of red wine, and the strawberries were the nicest I ever tasted. Freshly plucked from the garden too!
Passed my souvenirs to my host, and chatted for a while about what merlion stands for, the significance of the smiling Buddha and the national orchid.
