Paris Day 1

The first day at Paris started off badly when we were chased out of the tickets counter. We waited for more than one hour, and it was 9.30am when we came. At around 9.40am, the staff closed the door so that no more customers can enter. She was so slow and inefficient that even though there were only 3 customers before us, it was only our turn only at 11am.

She could speak english, but while trying to tell her the tickets we wanted to book, she was irritated and told us to speak in french instead. Then at 11.30am, she told us that she had to close the counter and asked us to leave. Wth, we didn't even book any tickets.

Later, the rest went to check in earlier, while sinhui, lynn, letch and me went gare du nord to make reservations for the tickets again.

In short, we encountered a lot of problems with the Euro-Pass. So advice to those travelling to europe, don't ever purchase the euro-pass.

The trains for france metro came at such a high frequency that we stopped running for trains when we saw them leaving. I remembered that while taking the above photograph using the camera's auto function, at least 3 trains had passed by.

Le Louvre

The Louvre Museum is really magnificent, and it's a pity that photos are not allowed. The great thing is that we were there on friday night, and after 6pm, there entrance is free for those under the age of 25. I think one will need a few days to slowly view all the art pieces in the louvre.

And of course, i saw mona lisa. Haha.

After that we had dinner(supper??) at a turkish restaurant near our hotel because all the other shops were closed.

All of us looking tired. Eugene looked retarded though. Haha
